The city of Rapaport is happy to have you!
A small town with tons of adventure around every corner, we pride ourselves on being a small town with big dreamers. People from all around come to adventure on our trails and waterways, climb some of our nearby picturesque rock faces, and bask in the chillness of a place built from the group up by a community. Whether you’re looking for a vigorous hike or to simply sit in an Adirondack with a gimlet and a view, we’ve got you covered.
Most of the families and businesses have been in Rapaport since the beginning, but please don’t think we’re elitist. We treat everyone like family, which could be why we’re such a popular tourist spot. We are all about supporting our local businesses and markets, so much so that we have our own little thriving economy within the state of Maine.
We hope you’ll stop by some of our shops, maybe for a handcrafted bauble from Maria Fuentes’ workshop or a sweater spun from wool produced by Mrs. Mercy’s very own flock. Little known fact about Rapaport, we are the birthplace of the Himalayan salt rock lamp! Want to experience some of our finest restaurants? If fusion is your taste, the Gupta family’s curry clam chowder is out of this world and Millie Wright-Cho makes a sinful green tea flan.
Let Rapaport become your home away from home, and make us your new family!
Hello one and all!
We are the owners and operators of Evergreen Inn, but please call us Shawn and Sean. This quaint little spot has been in Sean’s family for generations and after we got married it came to us. Since it first opened its doors in the 80s, Evergreen Inn has been the hidden gem of Rapaport.
Sean and I met in college, both juniors at NYU in our Chaucer capstone. After a few coffee dates over analyzing the Wife of Bath’s Tale we realized we were madly in love. In fact, he proposed to me in this very inn.
While the welcoming vibe of the Evergreen Inn has remained unchanged since the 80s, the interior design certainly has seen an update or two. With the combined effort of my keen eye for color and passion for a comfy aesthetic and Sean’s expert craftsmanship most of the pieces in our inn are one of a kind!
Thank you for visiting our webpage, we home you’ll visit it us in person very soon!
Evergreen Inn is a must stay place! All the charms of a cabin getaway with the comforts of a highly attentive staff. Sean and Shawn are the perfect hosts!
