Around Town

Though we are but little, we are a fierce destination for shopping and dining. Several of our restaurants have landed us in travel and food magazines while our shopping is the pinnacle of artisanal goodness. And, of course, we have plenty of cures for wanderlust.

Dining

Oceanside dining at Ivy & Vines
Rapaport's very own Ivy & Vines offers seaside seating in addition to a delectable menu

Ivy & Vines

One of our finest dining options Millie Wright-Cho traveled the world studying cuisine and brought every flavor back to Rapaport with her. An intimate setting that specializes in tasting menus, there’s something for everyone no matter how bold the palate. Cranberry and red wine glazed ducks wings, pumpkin and apple stew to warm the bones, firecracker braised pork belly, venison and kohlrabi stir fry. Ivy & Vines loves to showcase fusion with a special section of the menu that changes every week. Some of the biggest successes off that menu are plantain pudding and oxtail jambalaya.

Down by the Bay

Not only does this spot have some of the city’s finest seafood, it’s got hands down the best view. Living up to its name, Down by the Bay is right on the water and the entire dining area is made of windows. This is classic seaside comfort food, clam chowder, crab legs, clam bakes, and lobster rolls. All of the food served in this restaurant are caught fresh from our very own bay every day.

The New Delhi Deli

The Gupta family run a tight-knit mom and pop operation at their sweet cottage style set up. Tandoori chicken, chicken tikka masala, and curry galore can be had for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The New Delhi Deli is also the top vegan and vegetarian option in Rapaport. Their naan can’t be beat and their malai kofta is a mouthful of heaven. They also offer the perfect blend of classics from both India and the east coast of the USA with their curry clam chowder, a must try!

Shopping

There are plenty of shops along Rapaport's Main Street
Cynthia's Boutique is a one stop shop for one of a kind items

Cynthia’s Boutique

Half antique shop, half modern day fashion, this boutique is a unique stop for any shopaholic. Just about every piece in this store is for sale, from the apothecary table in the corner to the studded leather clutch and moto jacket hanging on the mannequin (which, yes, is also for sale). Cynthia’s Boutique is the picture of eclectic taste

Tonic

Tonic will cure what ails you, with holistic and natural medicine. This shop is owned and operated by Chandra Sutton, a certified acupuncturist, naturopath, and herbalist. Tonic is more than just a place to pick up a tincture or two, they offer a huge selection of crystals and consultations on ways to live your best life—from supplements to implement in your diet, to meditation practices that could banish anxiety. It’s a trendy space that offers shoppers a place to hang out and explore the world of natural healing.

New Nations

What makes New Nations such an amazing stop is the amount of culture it brings to our little corner of the world. Through a carefully crafted network of fair trade retailers and companies, this store has just about every continent covered. Lush blankets from Ireland, adorable handcrafted keychains from Thailand, coffee straight from the Ivory Coast, for those with wanderlust and looking for inspiration for their next destination New Nations is worth the stop.

Adventure

There are plenty of shops along Rapaport's Main Street
Fun fact, Alfonse once auditioned for the hit reality show "Survivor"

Adventure with Alfonse

Adventure is a huge call to Rapaport. For anyone who doesn’t have a path in mind, there’s Alfonse. Alfonse has climbed every major peak in the world at least once, worked as a guide on the Colorado River, a dive instructor for many years, and makes a mean banana bread. He organizes excursions of all sorts and for all group sizes for anyone coming through Rapaport. Kayak to the archipelagos just off the coast, hike a trail for the day or do an overnight jaunt through the woods.

If you’re in town during the summer solstice Alfonse and his team have an entire day of adventure planned. Kicking things off with a morning row through the bay, Solstice Extravaganza covers a huge swath of Rapaport’s outdoor life and is friendly to adventurers of all level. It all culminates in a sunset s’more fest in the heart of the forest.
